NILS WANBERG

As an innovator and early pioneer in creating immersive XR based film productions, Nils is passionate about bringing a future forward vision to his creative endeavors for business and film.
With over a decade of experience in directing and producing 2D film formats and VR based film productions, Nils brings passion and innovation in his approach to storytelling in the exciting new frontier of immersive content production. He has had the privilege to lead successful projects across a broad spectrum of industries, including music entertainment, fashion, technology, healthcare, fundraising, premier wedding event photography and more. In addition, Nils held a creative leadership position at a successful early tech startup for one of the world's leading spatial data platforms. The pioneering work in this field helped to lead a digital transformation of the built world in residential and commercial real estate.
Nils recently had the unique opportunity to produce and direct Grammy Award winning music artists in virtual reality for the DoDitty VR music campaign on Meta Quest 3. Adapting quickly to transformative technology and embracing the positive elements that bring innovation to market is a passion that continues to this day.

The world is a fascinating place, filled with extraordinary stories and I want to tell them.
While it may sound cliche, the truth is that ever since I was a kid, I was passionate about telling stories, even if the only audience was myself. I think my greatest gift is my never-ending curiosity and my ability to find the heart and the power of any story no matter how big or how small.

For 13 years I worked in television, story producing on shows like Deadliest Catch, Wicked Tuna, Bering Sea Gold, Street Outlaws, and the list goes on. During my tenure in television, I produced multiple season finales, midseason premieres, highest-rated episodes and I was a part of the Emmy nominated season 12 of Deadliest Catch. But in 2017 a chance opportunity presented by a friend opened up the door for me to move into the digital world as a director.

Over the past four years, I have been directing and producing short-form documentaries, branded content, and even a Super Bowl commercial for Google and YouTube's Brand Studios. All together the films that I created have garnered well over 30 million views on YouTube alone.
My goal for the future is to continue to create documentaries that will challenge people to change the way they view the world and inspire them to live fearlessly.
